HOWEVER GOOD JAMES IS AT HIS WORK, HIS DAUGHTER STILL BEATS HIM AT TENNIS

Our managing director James is a bit of a marketing boffin. In fact, he has even been a senior marketing lecturer at MBA level. He started his career with apprenticeships in FMCG brand management at Reckitt & Colman and Unilever. James particularly enjoys launching new products and as a Brand Manager was involved in the development of Jacobs Creek, the first Australian wine brand in the UK (they now make up half the top ten); Birds Eye fish ready meals and Kenco instant coffee.

Moving to the agency world, he co-founded FFwd Precision Marketing – an integrated agency that in the late 1990’s grew into a group of companies with a staff of over 150. FFwd was so successful

that James and his business partner sold it to the American group Hawkeye Communications where he stayed-on for a few years as Deputy Chairman and there are now FFwd branded agencies all across the USA.

James is also on the board of ImpactWise - a specialist in media coverage evaluation and audience research and ChildWise, the UK’s leading research specialist on children and teenagers. Speaking of teenagers, James has one daughter who now worryingly he says is able to beat
him at tennis!
